1978 art mkt
Hi, it’s been awhile since I have written. Since the pandemic, life took off not only for me, but for all of us. My bodywork business (Energy Pathways to Harmony) has been going strong and this is my main focus because it is my livelihood. The life of a creative person can be challenging. The time it takes to make art for me often takes a back burner. To find the time gets eaten up by other important items in life related to my bodywork business, which is a creative act in itself. Being a creative person, the need to create never goes away. I am always coming up with ideas. Rearranging my space, what I put on my body, how the food is in the skillet or on my dinner plate appear are some of the additional creative outputs beyond drawing, taking pictures with my iPhone and writing down words that I do. I am amazed when I do a show like the SOMA Art Studio Tour, this past fall at the Maplewood Senior Center, how much work I managed to complete. The tour went well for me. I loved being with other artists displaying their work. It is great to see all your work on display and to watch people’s reactions to your work. It was especially enjoyable the children who knew what the bird was that I painted.
With that, I am doing another show, an art and design market-1978 art mkt with 18 other artists. I will have original art as well as archival digital prints and some of my new creations, “Found Treasure Pendants.” Like many of us, going to the shore or beach, while walking along the edge of the rolling sea, I find treasures of broken, worn bits of shells that draw me to pick them up. I got this idea to wrap them and celebrate natures natural beauty. Out of this, I have had some commissions to wrap other people’s found treasures. Please come by, if you live around Maplewood, NJ.
